Strong candidates will have prior Master-level training or have significant experience working in the global health field, ideally in a low-resource setting. GRE Requirements GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process. Additional Instructions All application materials must be submitted online by 11:59pm PST on December 1. If the deadline falls on a weekend, applications will be accepted through the following Monday. If an applicant is admitted, official transcripts will be requested. If you indicate that you will be submitting a Medium of Instruction document to prove English language proficiency, please ensure that this document is included within your application before you submit. The document should specifically state the language of instruction at your educational institution if it is submitted as proof of English proficiency. Any documents submitted that do not specifically state this information will not be accepted as Medium of Instruction documentation. Recommendation Letters Letters of recommendation must be submitted electronically through this system; letters submitted in hard copy by mail or via services like Interfolio will not be accepted. Please note that only three letters of recommendation will be reviewed with your application. If you request more than three letters of recommendation from recommenders, only the first three letters of recommendation submitted will be reviewed. If you would like a letter submitted after the third letter rather than one of the first three to be considered part of your application, it is your responsibility to reach out to healthms@uw.edu to request that a previous letter be dropped and your preferred letter be considered. Transcripts Please make sure to upload a detailed transcript, not a document that only shows proof of graduation. Transcripts should show each class taken and grades for each class throughout your entire time at that institution. A certificate of graduation, diploma, or any other documentation that does not show this information will not be accepted. Non-Native English Speaker Information Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2. International Student Information Applicants who will need a visa should reference the International Applicant Information page. If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F1 or J1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.
