Please see Application Information page for more details. GRE Requirements GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process. Additional Instructions Follow the MSW application instructions. Use this application to be considered for the MSW Advanced Standing Program ONLY. Applicants interested in the regular Full-Time or Part-Time MSW Programs should STOP NOW and select a different program on the Program Selection page. Non-Native English Speaker Information Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2. Program requirement: The UW School of Social Work requires scores to meet/surpass the “recommended” scores. We will accept the TOEFLI or TOEFLB scores of 92 or higher, Duolingo scores of 125 or higher, and IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher; check the website for additional ways to demonstrate English proficiency. International Student Information If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F1 or J1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School. Limited departmental funding available. Please visit the School of Social Work website for details. All applicants are encouraged to complete the Funding Consideration Form. International students acquiring a student visa should only list full-time program options (Full-Time/Advanced Standing), not part-time programs; generally international applicants are only eligible for a visa if enrolled full-time.
