    Requirements and Prerequisites
    Applicants must have baccalaureate degree in any field. Personal Statement required. Supplementary Materials may be provided as well to demonstrate relevant work.
    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process.

    Prior to submitting the application, please review information about having Graduate Non-Matriculated (GNM) status.

    Note: GRE scores are not required and will not be used in the admission process, if included.

    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.

    Program requirement: Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency which exceeds the minimum defined by the Graduate School Policy 3.2.

    If using test scores to fulfill the requirement, a minimum of 106 on TOEFLiBT, with a speaking sub score of at least 26, or an IELTS score of 7.5 with at least 8.0 on the speaking module, is required.

    If using a US degree as proof of English language proficiency, an interview may be required.

    International Student Information
    International students seeking admission to a GNM program are not eligible to receive an F-1 visa I-20 or the J-1 DS-2019 from the University of Washington.
