    The MPA program has three application deadlines with important dates.

    To be considered for Early Action, your application and all supporting materials must be submitted by 11:59 PM PST on December 15, 2024. This includes your letter(s) of recommendation.

    If your application is incomplete by the Early Action deadline, your application will be moved to the Priority deadline for admission consideration.

    If your application is incomplete by the Priority deadline, your application will be moved to the Final deadline for admission consideration.

    If your application is submitted by the Priority deadline and all supporting documents are not received by January 22nd , your application will be moved to the final deadline for admission consideration.

    To be considered for Evans fellowship awards, you must submit your completed applications by the Early Action and Priority deadlines.

    Requirements and Prerequisites
    A minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 US scale. If the bachelor’s degree is awarded by an institution with no grading system, equivalent measures of academic performance is required; or, at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 US scale for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits. For more information please refer to Policy 3.1 Graduate Admissions.

    No prerequisites, but undergraduate coursework in microeconomics and/or statistics is recommended.
    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Optional/Not Required. Submitting GRE scores is not required. However, if official scores are submitted, they may be considered during the review process.
    More Information: Though not required, some students would prefer their GRE scores be taken into consideration in the application review process.

    If GRE or GMAT scores are submitted, official scores must be sent electronically from the test provider.

    All applications received by or before January 15 will be considered for Evans School merit-based financial aid.

    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.

    International Student Information
    If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F1 or J1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.
