    Requirements and Prerequisites

    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process.
    Additional Instructions
    To apply to the UW MPH in Public Health Nutrition, you are required to submit both UW Graduate School and SOPHAS applications. See MPH Application and Materials for a complete list of instructions.

    Applicants who wish to apply for the Graduate Coordinated Program in Dietetics (GCPD) (RDN training program) in addition to the MPH degree program must complete additional prerequisites and submit a GCPD application through DICAS. Please visit the MPH Application and Materials page for more information.

    All MPH (Public Health Nutrition) applicants are expected to create and submit original application materials without the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) content generators, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. By submitting your application, you attest that you have written all your own application materials and understand the importance of academic and professional honesty and integrity.

    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.

    International Student Information
    Applicants who will need a visa should reference the International Applicant Information page. If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F1 or J1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.

    International applicants have the same deadline and application requirements as all other applicants.
