    1 May deadline: All materials (including letters of recommendation and application fee paid) are due at 11:59pm, failure to provide the materials by this deadline will result in the application being withdrawn from consideration.

    Requirements and Prerequisites

    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process.
    Additional Instructions
    Submit all application materials online, do not send any materials by mail. All letters of recommendation are due by the December 1st  deadline to be considered a complete application.

    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.

    International Student Information
    Applicants who will need a visa should reference the International Applicant Information page. If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F1 or J1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.
