    Requirements and Prerequisites
    Requirements: A four-year US bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.

    PrerequisitesObject-oriented programming (Python preferred) course.


    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process.
    Additional Information

    All applicants will be considered for the MSTI scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated both outstanding academic achievement and a strong interest in technology innovation. All applicants are automatically considered by applying to the MSTI program and the scholarship will be awarded after each round of admissions decisions are made. Note that it does not cover all program fees or living expenses.



    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: Satisfy the University of Washington Graduate School’s English Language Proficiency Requirements (Policy 3.2). If you are using test scores for proficiency, please note that the MS in Technology Innovation recommends higher minimum scores than the UW Graduate School’s requirements:
    • TOEFL iBT: overall score of 100, speaking score 23
    • IELTS: overall score of 7, minimum speaking score band of 7
    • Duolingo English: Total score of 130, with a Production sub score of 125


    International Student Information
    Applicants who will need a visa should reference the International Applicant Information page. If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F-1 or J-1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.
