    Requirements and Prerequisites
    Prior degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. Applicants with degrees in other fields must demonstrate equivalent proficiency.

    Physical residency in the greater Seattle area at the time of application.

    International students are not eligible to receive an F-1 visa I-20 or the J-1 DS-2019 from the University of Washington for this program.

    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process.
    Additional Instructions
    No hard copy application materials or official transcripts are required during the application process.

    Recommendation letters and any official test scores may arrive after submitting the application but must be received by the application deadline of the desired entry quarter.

    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.
