GRE Requirements GRE Requirement: Required. Official GRE scores are required for all applicants in order to be considered for admission. The UW institution code for the GRE is 4854. Non-Native English Speaker Information Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington.
