    Priority will be given to applications with all materials submitted on-line by the deadline listed above. For international students: a GMAT score or WES evaluation may be submitted after the deadline but priority will always be given to complete applications. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a space available basis until September.

    The GMAT is not required for US citizens/residents or for international students who earned their degree at a US institution, however, it is recommended for any student with less than competitive grades.

    For students who earned their degree outside the US, you must submit either a WES Evaluation (ICAP) or an official GMAT score.

    Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a space available basis until September.

    Requirements and Prerequisites
    A minimum 3.0 grade-point-average on a 4-point scale (or equivalent measures of performance if a graduate of an institution with no grading system) for those credits earned at the institution awarding the bachelor’s degree OR at least a 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4-point scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits. For more information, please refer to Policy 3.1 Graduate Admissions.

    Applicants must complete all undergraduate level business and accounting major classes and hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree before the Sept. of the start of the program. You may apply before you complete these classes but they must be completed before the start of the program.

    The GMAT is not required for US citizens/residents or for international students who earned their degree at a US institution. it is option for all and recommended for applicants whose grades/experience is less competitive. 

    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process.
    Additional Instructions

    Students must submit completely separate applications and application fees if they wish to apply to the Seattle, Bothell, or Tacoma programs.

    Official college transcripts: One copy from each school attended. You are not required to submit your official transcript if you have attended any of the UW campus. Transfer credits must be submitted on a separate transcript from that school.  

    No need to submit transcripts for only three or less classes taken or from study abroad schools. If currently enrolled in courses, include fall term grades.”

    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.

    Program requirement: Minimum test scores for English: TOEFL- 92, Duolingo – 120.

    We will NOT accept the IELTS if it is taken after Nov. 1, 2016.


    International Student Information
    Applicants who will need a visa should reference the International Applicant Information page. If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F1 or J1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.
