Requirements and Prerequisites

The Foster Full-time MBA Program accepts either GMAT Exam type (Focus Edition or 10th Edition), the GRE, or applicants may select to apply test optional. (Applicants who make this selection will be asked to provide information in the application that attests to their analytical and quantitative preparedness for the program.)

Self-reported test scores can be submitted at the deadline but applicants are required to also submit official test scores.

GRE Requirements
GRE Requirement: Optional/Not Required. Submitting GRE scores is not required. However, if official scores are submitted, they may be considered during the review process.
More Information: Applicants to the Full-time MBA Program can select to apply with the GRE, GMAT, or apply test optional (no test submitted).

Non-Native English Speaker Information
Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.

Program requirement: Official test scores are required. Foster MBA Admissions accepts TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo. Minimum scores required are: TOEFL: 100, IELTS: 7.0, Duolingo: 130.

Applicants who will need a visa should reference the International Applicant Information page. If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F1 or J1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.
