For more information about admissions to the philosophy PhD program, please see our website.

Specific instructions about the different application materials are found on the Application Instructions page.

GRE Requirement: Optional/Not Required. Submitting GRE scores is not required. However, if official scores are submitted, they may be considered during the review process.
More Information: We do not require the GRE, and test scores have not factored into our admissions decisions for several years. Our admissions committee places the most weight on an applicant's writing sample, personal statement, and recommendations.
    Additional Instructions

Be sure to request letters of recommendation well in advance of the deadline to ensure timely arrival.Non-Native English Speaker Information
