    Requirements and Prerequisites
    Applicants must meet all UW Graduate School minimum admissions requirements to be eligible for consideration.

    Our Communities and Networks degree (MCCN) is designed for mid-career applicants. Applicants are required to have at least two years of full-time work experience in any field, post-bachelor’s degree, to apply for this degree (or the cumulative equivalent of part-time work).

    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process.
    Additional Instructions
    Our application is fully online. Please do not mail materials to the department as they will not be considered.

    Recommendation Instructions
    We require a minimum of two recommendations, though you may submit more. We encourage a diversity of recommenders – those who can reflect on your academic, professional, and/or volunteer experience. These might be professors, employers, internship supervisors, advisors, or mentors.

    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.

    International Student Information
    Applicants who will need a visa should reference the International Applicant Information page. If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F1 or J1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.
