    Requirements and Prerequisites
    A minimum 3.0 grade-point-average on a 4-point scale (or equivalent measures of performance if a graduate of an institution with no grading system) for those credits earned at the institution awarding the bachelor’s degree OR at least a 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4-point scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits. For more information, please refer to Policy 3.1 Graduate Admissions.

    Incoming students who possess a non-quantitative bachelor’s degree (e.g. arts, humanities etc.) or have not taken or successfully completed quantitative courses (e.g. statistics, accounting/financial reporting, management and visualization techniques) can pursue this pathway. If you have successfully completed quantitative courses as referenced previously, you can apply for the advanced standing MSRE. This, however, does not guarantee acceptance under the advanced standing.  
    GRE Requirements
    GRE Requirement: Not Considered. GRE scores are not required and, if submitted, will not be considered during the admissions decision process.
    Additional Instructions
    Please be certain you list all colleges attended in the Academic History section. Regarding the letters of recommendation, we suggest you provide each of your evaluators with a copy of your statement of purpose to help them prepare a better letter of evaluation. 

    Non-Native English Speaker Information
    Graduate School requirement: English language proficiency (ELP) is required for graduate study at the University of Washington. Therefore, every applicant whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency as outlined in Graduate School Policy 3.2.

    International Student Information
    Applicants who will need a visa should reference the International Applicant Information page. If admitted to the program, international students requesting an F-1 or J-1 visa will be required to provide financial ability documentation to the UW Graduate School.

    Minimum TOEFL: 92 (IBT), 237 TOEFL (C), 580 TOEFL. Minimum IELTS:  7.0

    Minimum MLT:  90 Minimum 

    An applicant may be admitted with an English proficiency test score within the range of scores below the minimum. In such cases, the applicant will be required, when starting the graduate degree program, to take designated Academic English Program (AEP) courses through UW English Language Programs, unless an exempting test score is subsequently submitted.
